Can I Download or Access Subtitles (SRT Files) Of My Video?

At this time, OneTake does not offer a direct “Download SRT” button. Subtitles cannot be exported automatically as an SRT file from within the platform.

However, you can still access the full subtitles of your video and use them outside OneTake by copying them from the Share page.

How to Access Your Subtitles

To retrieve your subtitles, follow these steps carefully:

  1. Publish your video.

Subtitles are available on the public share page once the video has been published. If your video is still in draft mode, publish it first.

  1. Click on “Share” at the top of the screen.

This will generate your share link.

  1. Open the share link.

The share page displays your video along with the full subtitle transcript.

  1. Locate the subtitles section.

All captions generated for your video are displayed in text format on the share page.

  1. Copy the subtitles manually.

Highlight the text and paste it into a text editor such as Notepad, Google Docs, or any subtitle formatting tool.

If you need an SRT file specifically, you can take the copied subtitle text and use an external subtitle formatting or conversion tool to structure it into proper SRT format.

What This Means in Practice

  • OneTake generates and displays subtitles for your video.
  • Subtitles are fully visible and accessible on the share page.
  • There is currently no automated export option for SRT files.
  • Manual copy and external formatting are required if you need SRT output.
