Can I Upload and Combine Multiple Videos in OneTake?
OneTake processes one video file per project. At this time, it is not possible to upload multiple separate video files and have OneTake automatically combine them into a single video.
If you attempt to upload several small clips expecting them to merge into one video inside OneTake, the platform will not perform that action.
How video uploads work in OneTake
Each OneTake project is built around a single video or audio file. That file is then processed by the AI for editing, transcription, subtitles, audio cleanup, shorts generation, translation, and other features.
Because of this structure:
- One project = one uploaded video file
- Multiple files cannot be merged inside OneTake
- OneTake does not function like timeline-based editors such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut
What to do if you have multiple video clips
If your content is split across multiple clips and you want them treated as one video, you will need to combine them before uploading to OneTake.
The recommended workflow is:
- Use any external video editor or tool to merge your clips into a single video file
Examples include CapCut, iMovie, Premiere Pro, or similar tools
- Export the combined video as one file
- Upload the final combined video into OneTake
- Continue editing, generating shorts, translating, or refining the video inside OneTake
Once the video is uploaded as a single file, all OneTake features work as expected.
Why OneTake works this way
OneTake is designed to apply AI processing to a complete video from start to finish. Features such as transcription accuracy, filler word removal, chaptering, shorts generation, and translation rely on having a single continuous source file.
Processing one video at a time allows OneTake to:
- Maintain accurate transcripts
- Apply consistent audio and video edits
- Generate coherent shorts and subtitles
- Avoid timing and synchronization issues
What OneTake does not support
To avoid confusion, OneTake does not currently support:
- Uploading multiple clips into one project
- Automatically stitching clips together
- Timeline-based multi-clip editing inside the app
