How to add a soundtrack to your video in OneTake AI

You can add background music to your video directly from the Customize Video section while editing your project.

Step 1: Open the Customize Video panel

Open your video project and click Customize Video on the right side of the editor.

Scroll down until you see the Soundtrack section.

Step 2: Enable the soundtrack

Under the question “Should OneTake AI play a subtle music track on this video?”, select:

Yes – I want to direct a custom track

This enables background music for the video.

Step 3: Preview the soundtrack

Once enabled, a music waveform will appear.

Click the play button next to the waveform to preview the soundtrack inside the editor.

This preview allows you to confirm that music is playing before finalizing the video.

Step 4: Adjust the volume

Use the Volume dropdown to control how loud the soundtrack is relative to your voice.

Available options include:

• Very Quiet

• Subtle – International Standard (Recommended)

• Clearly Present

• Very Loud

• Blast My Ears

For most talking videos, the recommended setting is Subtle – International Standard.

Step 5: Save your changes

After selecting the soundtrack and volume, click Save.

Your soundtrack will now be applied to the video.

Optional: Reuse the same setting for future videos

If you want OneTake AI to apply the same soundtrack volume to future projects, check the option “Always use this setting for my future videos.”

This saves the volume preference, not the music itself.

Once saved, the soundtrack will be included in previews, exports, and shared versions of the video.
