How to Edit the Transcript Generated by OneTake

OneTake automatically creates a transcript for your video, and you can edit it at any time directly inside the editor. This allows you to correct wording, remove mistakes, update phrasing, or adjust any part of the script to match your final video. Below is a simple guide on how to access and edit your transcript.



How to Edit Your Transcript


1. Open your project

After your video has finished processing, open the project you want to edit.


2. Go to the “Edit Script” tab

At the top of the editor, click Edit Script.

This will display the entire transcript on the right side of your screen.


3. Click the “Edit” button

Inside the transcript panel, click Edit to start making changes.


4. Make your corrections

You can:

  • Fix grammar or punctuation
  • Remove filler words or repeated phrases
  • Rewrite or improve sentences
  • Adjust speaker text
  • Correct misheard words

Simply click on any line and type your updated text.


5. Review the deleted parts (optional)

If you want to see what has been removed, you can toggle Show deleted parts.


6. Save your changes

When you’re done editing, make sure everything is correct. The updated transcript will be used for your video’s subtitles and editing workflow.
