How to Remove or Disable Subtitles in OneTake AI

By default, OneTake AI adds subtitles to your video during processing. If you do not want subtitles, you can disable them before processing starts, save that preference for all future videos, or remove them from a video that has already been processed.

Option 1 — Disable Subtitles Before Processing

This is the recommended approach. You control subtitle settings during the upload and processing setup screen.

  1. Upload your video to OneTake AI
  2. When the editing options screen appears, locate the Transcription and semantic analysis section
  3. Find the Add subtitles checkbox
  4. Uncheck the Add subtitles box
  5. The three subtitle style options below it will become inactive — this is expected
  6. To apply this setting to all future videos, scroll to the bottom of the options and check Save these settings for future videos
  7. Click the arrow button at the bottom to continue processing your video

OneTake AI will process your video without generating or adding any subtitles.

Option 2 — Remove Subtitles From an Already Processed Video

If your video has already been processed with subtitles and you want them removed:

  1. Open the finished project in OneTake AI
  2. In the AI chat, type: "Remove all subtitles" or "Remove subtitles, keep everything else"
  3. The AI will re-process your video and remove the subtitles

Option 3 — Show Main Titles Only (No Full Subtitles)

If you want chapter or section titles to appear but not full word-by-word subtitles:

  1. Check the Add subtitles box
  2. Select Show main titles only

This keeps your video structured with titles while removing the continuous subtitle text.

Option 4 — Remove All Text From the Video Completely

If you want no text on screen at all — no subtitles, no titles, no transitions:

  1. Uncheck Add subtitles
  2. Also uncheck Text animation and transitions

Both options must be unchecked to remove all on-screen text.

Notes

  • Unchecking Add subtitles also deactivates the three subtitle style options below it — this is normal behavior
  • Using Save these settings for future videos means you only need to configure this once
  • Removing subtitles from an already processed video requires the AI to re-process — this uses processing minutes from your plan
