What Gaze Correction Does and Does Not Affect
Gaze Correction in OneTake is designed to improve perceived eye contact in a video while leaving the rest of the content unchanged. The feature applies a focused visual adjustment and does not modify other parts of the video.
What Gaze Correction Affects
When enabled, Gaze Correction affects:
- The direction of the eyes in the video
- How directly the speaker appears to look at the camera
What Gaze Correction Does Not Affect
Gaze Correction does not change:
- Head position or posture
- Facial expressions
- Body movement
- Audio quality or timing
- Video cuts or pacing
- Layout, framing, or cropping
- Background or lighting
- Captions or subtitles
Interaction With Other Editing Features
Gaze Correction operates independently from other editing features. Enabling or disabling it does not override or interfere with:
- Video styles and layouts
- Background removal
- Virtual Cameraman
- Soundtrack settings
Each feature is applied as its own processing step.
Visual Expectations
The purpose of Gaze Correction is to improve natural eye contact, not to create a noticeable visual effect. The correction is intended to be unintrusive and blend seamlessly with the original footage.
If the eyes are not clearly visible in the video or are heavily obstructed, results may vary.
Gaze Correction focuses only on eye direction and leaves the rest of the video untouched.
