When and How Gaze Correction Is Applied

Gaze Correction is applied during the video editing process in OneTake. It is not a live effect and does not change how your video is recorded. The correction is added after the video is available in your project and the feature is enabled.

When Gaze Correction Runs

Gaze Correction runs as a processing step once it has been turned on in the Customize Video section.

The process happens:

  • After the video has been uploaded or is available in the project
  • After the Gaze Correction option is enabled
  • Before final export or publishing

You do not need to re-record your video for gaze correction to work.

How Gaze Correction Is Applied

When enabled, OneTake analyzes the video frames and identifies where eye-direction adjustments are appropriate. The AI then applies subtle corrections to eye direction across the video.

This process:

  • Runs automatically
  • Does not require manual input
  • Applies consistently throughout the video
  • Preserves the original timing, audio, and structure

Processing Behavior

While Gaze Correction is being applied, the video enters a processing state. You may see a message or indicator showing that processing is in progress.

Processing time depends on:

  • Video length
  • Video resolution
  • Overall system load at the time of processing

You can remain on the page or return later. Once processing completes, the corrected video will be available in your project.

Reapplying or Disabling Gaze Correction

If you disable Gaze Correction after it has been applied, OneTake will remove the correction and revert the video to its original eye direction. Other edits and settings remain unchanged.

You can enable or disable Gaze Correction at any point before finalizing the video.
